When it comes to the bob, we tend to think only of the classic one style. Joel Goncalves, Senior Stylist at Nicola Clarke @ John Frieda who is the master of this classic cut, shows how to style one bob, four ways.
The inspiration for each of these looks came from the 90s femme fatale characters from movies such as The Last Seduction, Mullholland Drive, Bound and Betty Blue.
“I found that whilst the bob haircut has been making a strong statement, clients aren’t aware of how many different ways they can style it. The one look they opt for becomes their hair uniform, but it’s actually one of the most diverse styles there is and you can easily get a number of different looks out of it with very little effort. I was inspired by characters in these iconic thrillers – there was a certain control and darkness about these women which I’ve always admired”. says Joel.
