On Saturday, the whole world was pinned to their screens to watch the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Weeks before there was speculation as to who will design the dress, who will do the makeup and who will do their hair.
As we all eagerly watched, within the first few glimpses og Meghan we could see her opting for a low, messy chignon bun for her wedding day. Her face framing layers were perfectly placed behind her ears to create a more sleek look which perfectly showcased a stunning veil and tiara.
This hairstyle was created by the genius Serge Normant from John Frieda Salons. “I thought something working around the usual angles shes has.” Normant told the Daily Mail. “I wasn’t about reinvention. We worked really close together, but there was nothing contrived about it. We knew what we wanted to do. We wanted something that was effortless and really timeless. As long as it didn’t look contived.” Serge also added that “It’s a messy bun, we call it, It’s messy in a controlled way.” The hair matched Meghan’s laid back attitude and the hair, makeup and dress all came together to inject some modernity into a traditional event.
