Launched last year amid great anticipation, the exclusive John Frieda salon will re-open its doors this month. The sleek, four chair space will be staffed by members of the A-list London team, who will also be on hand to provide in-room styling. With globally renowned colour, cut and blow dries in one of Ibiza’s most luxurious beach retreats, the return of John Frieda Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay will cement its position among the White Isle’s hottest destinations; just in time for the opening parties.
No Ibiza plans on the horizon? Bring a touch of distinctive white-isle-style to the UK with the Balearic blow dry at John Frieda’s London salons on Margaret Street & Aldford Street. The look is beachy and bouffant, wavy and lustrous – not a frazzled end or limp root in sight. Think Brigitte Bardot meets Kate Moss – low key, casually glamorous, but oh-so-hard-to-achieve.
The world class stylists at John Frieda Salons know the secret to creating a beach-chic look that can withstand London’s city streets. “First, we make sure hair is in top condition with a California Hair Cleanse” says Nadia Dean, John Frieda’s Senior Stylist. “Then we start off by rough drying the hair, before breaking it into sections and using heat on a round brush to add waves that look soft and casual, but will hold the style. Finally, we add a spray of Color Wow Style on Steroids finishing spray to add beachy texture and keep the body.”
The other hot hair trend for summer? It comes from somewhat closer to home. New, creative festival hair styles have become as hotly anticipated as the line-up announcements. To help you find your own festival look, John Frieda Salons is now offering the Festival Braid. Whether your taste is two French braids, plaits wound around your head, or casual waves with tiny braids tied with ribbon, your talented John Frieda stylist will create a boho look to die for – whether you plan to actually attend a festival or not.
For an un-done summer up-do, take inspiration from the Duchess of Sussex’s ‘relaxed yet polished’ wedding hair, created by Serge Normant. Head of John Frieda’s New York outposts. This look is perfect for summer events, from weddings to Wimbledon, polo to parties.
